Graduate PR Manager


This is a permanent, full time role for people with the right to work in the UK, working from our London Bridge office. This is not a remote or freelance position.

The PR graduate role is an entry level role in the PR department suitable for graduates, school and college leavers that are venturing into the world of work for the first time.

You are expected to have relevant skills around writing press releases, building relationships, pitching ideas and managing large amounts of email communications with multiple people at once.

The job is a hands on role that will see you actively finding journalists to pitch ideas to. Having a communications background is advantageous as well as being persistence and able to use internal grit to get the job done.

You will work with PR consultants, data and creative team to help pitch our creative work to journalists in order to get our clients links from major news sources.



The graduate role is primarily around finding journalists and building relationships with them so we can pitch our creative ideas.

You will also be expected to do things like:
- find prospective journalists that fit our creative brief
- find their email and social account information
- create a relationship with them and email them with ideas
- be able to write cogently perfect fluent english
- pitch into creative ideation sessions with the creative team to come up with cool concepts and ideas for campaigns
- support the data team in order to find interesting data points to supplement the press releases keep up to date with industry news and trends that we can use in client campaigns

This role is a hands on role that will be balanced with intensive training and development to get you to a more competent place so you can start to run your own accounts and come up with creative ideas.


Type A are a transparent business with each level of job published internally with salary brackets and responsibilities.

The graduate role involves implementing changes on our clients websites as well as learning how to build client deliverables.


You should be expert with
- Managing emails and using things like mail merge
- Learning new things and being open to new ideas

You should be intermediate with
- Excel & Google Sheets Formulas
- Writing press releases

You should have a basic understanding of
- Data Journalism
- How newsrooms work


Work & Life Balance

Type A work a 35 hour week over 4 days, from Monday to Thursday, meaning you get 3 day weekends. This is the equivalent of getting 80 days off per year.

You still get paid a full pro rata annual salary. So the salary number you are quoted is your full annual salary, no deductions. You are paid as if you work a full working week.

You get 16 days of bookable holiday allowance on top of the Friday's off. This needs to be taken as a 4 day block so you have 4 weeks of paid holiday over and above the Friday's off.

Training Budget

Everyone gets a £1000 training budget to spend on books, training courses and anything that will further your career development.

Gym Membership

We will pay up to £80 a month for a gym membership or for you to go to any health classes like Yoga, Jui Jitsu or even long as it's a health and wellness pursuit.


We sign you up for a Headspace account for the year so you can prioritise mental health

Spotify Family

We will also give you a Spotify family account to get your favourite jam on when commuting or at the office.



We are not talking some old milk and some tea bags in the kitchen. We buy Monouth coffee and a variety of non dairy milks every week as well as speciality Tea Pigs tea to keep you powered up throughout the day.

We naturally also have a beer fridge that is stocked up with plenty of adult treats.

Bi-annual company away day

We go for a big company away day every 6 months to recharge and refresh and have a bit of fun.

Monthly Meals

Every month we go for a nice sit down meal across London to relax and unwind and get to know each other a bit better

Personal Development

Many of our team speak at conferences and do regular webinars and online appearances.....some even have their own web show.

Although, not essential, you will have the opportunity to grow your online presence within the industry and demonstrate your expertise to the wider world by being an agency brand ambassador.
