At Pukka Herbs we’re on a mission to revolutionise herbal health and wellbeing. Based in our Bristol head office, we are looking for an Herbal Education Specialist to join our team and support on Pukka’s best-in-field herbal training and online education. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, working 30 hours (4 days) per week.


About the role

As an Herbal Education Specialist, you’ll work closely with the Head of Herbal Education in supporting the delivery of all herbal education and training at Pukka, ensuring that the knowledge inspires positive change in the way we work.

Covering topics of herbal, Ayurvedic, nutritional, medical & technical products you’ll develop and deliver both internal and external training programmes, providing the best-in-field training and supporting written materials. Alongside this you will also manage the content and delivery of the Distance Learning Courses that we run.

You’ll also work closely with our customer services team and our marketing team, supporting them with product advice and answering any queries and concerns, and be the point-of-contact and support to the practitioner community and professional bodies we work with.


About you

You’ll have a bright and enthusiastic approach, with an engaged and positive attitude. An expert in natural medicine/remedies, healing traditions and science, you’ll be qualified with a degree in Herbal Medicine or nutrition.

With some experience of working in an educational environment, you’ll have the ability to interpret clinical research with a view to communicating clear educational messages. You’ll have the confidence to deliver engaging learning experiences and training across a variety of mediums, engaging all audiences. Producing technical writing material as required, an excellent standard of writing that is both accurate and creative to suit a broad range of audience understanding is essential.

Calm and unflappable, you’ll be able to remain clear-headed and deliver in a fast-paced commercial environment. You’ll be resilient in the face of changing priorities and a significant workload, whilst maintaining a sense of humour and a passion to work hard. Organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively, you’ll have an immaculate level of attention to detail and be able to discern the most effective solution for delivering herbal expertise.
