Senior Account Director - Cosmetics


The Senior Account Director is a true PR expert & a true inspiration to the account team. This role is instrumental in supporting the Managing Director in overseeing the client portfolio, strategy and financial insight and capacity. You are a true leader who thrives to achieve great results through its team and see them grow. You are a strategic pillar as well as a people person. Full time or 4 days per week.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of client’s business in order to deliver strategic and creative campaigns against briefs
• Develop senior client relationships
• Ensure day-to-day team work is on brief, on time and on budget
• Lead client relationships
• Ensure efficiency of day-to-day client servicing by your team of 5
• Consult on briefing to presentation, and guide the team to ensure response is on brief
• Proactively pitch new ideas to the client – ensure concepts are aligned with overall business/PR objectives and strategy
• Develop and execute engaging campaign activity relevant to the clients brief and key objectives
• Be aware of potential issues facing your clients and offer appropriate solutions
• Develop, where possible, relationships with other areas of your clients’ business outside of the core PR/Comms team
• Demonstrate ability to lead, nurture and develop your team
• Bring the best industry talent to your team and the wider business with the support of HR to ensure an efficient and positive process from candidate to employee status
• Demonstrate positive contribution to the whole Seen Group – beyond your day-to-day account/client work
• Provide insightful advise, team consultation & oversee team’s media output
• Ensure b/vlogger outreach is integral to campaign output using a variety of assets (video, photo, competitions, copy)
• Consult and advise team on management of press trips, sponsored shoots, product launches and macro activity
• Support in the management and handling of potential issues/crisis situations
• Lead, organise and participate in internal brainstorming sessions
• Ensure team is monitoring media daily, including newspapers, magazines, broadcast, online & social channels
• Keep abreast of industry trends, developments and opportunities and demonstrate new ideas
• Oversee regular internal meetings take place on all clients – with team roles and responsibilities established on a weekly basis
• Oversee the delivery of weekly/monthly reports
• Deliver internal and external documents with a keen attention to detail
• Ensure that all client & internal deadlines are respected and adhered to (for you & direct reports)
• Identify opportunities to organically grow existing client business
• Demonstrate the ability to develop credentials and write new business proposals
• Work on new business opportunities from research, development, and to pitch, giving strategic insight and counsel
• Negotiate effectively with prospective new clients where necessary, including client budgets and scope of work
• Ensure client is aware of the wider services on offer from the Seen Group
• Responsibility for delivery of team financial departments
• Deliver against team/client budget forecasts
• Oversee budget planners, to be managed by team
• Oversee monthly and activation budgets, to be managed by the team
• Work with the senior client team on annual budget– ensure all budgets are approved by clients
• Support Finance with billing issues
• Support senior team to drive client efficiency and profitability
• Demonstrate ability to grow client’s business and leverage the Seen Group


- Currently operating as Senior Account Director or above
- Strong team management essential
