Thames Valley Partnership

Service Manager -Victims’ Services (leading new specialist support service for adult victims)

Hours: 0.8 (30 hours a week)
£32,000 pro rata (based on £40,000 FTE)

Thames Valley Partnership is an established registered charity of 25 years operating a range of support services for those affected by crime, across the three Thames Valley counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, and beyond.

Following a successful funding bid to the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner Thames Valley, the Partnership has been selected to deliver a new, specialist support service for adult victims, beginning in April 2020. The new service will be tailored to meet victims’ individual needs, and could include trauma-informed interventions in individual or group settings, advocacy support including help to access mental health or drug and alcohol services, restorative justice conferencing, as well as practical and emotional support to navigate the criminal justice process. We will work closely with two partner agencies: bringing professionals with different specialisms together.

We now therefore seek a Service Manager, who will report directly to the Partnership CEO and who will have lead responsibility and accountability for delivering the new service, managing these key relationships as well as the contract with the OPCC. Overall, the role involves providing strategic direction in the development of the service, close working with key partners and stakeholders across criminal justice services and, in the short term, the integration of existing services and support and line-management of the relevant staff. You will oversee all aspects of the service including developing a strategy for the recruitment, training, retention and supervision of staff and volunteers and the development of peer support and buddy systems. The role will essentially be based in the Partnership offices in Aston Sandford, Buckinghamshire HP17 8JB (however flexibility and some remote working may be negotiated for the right candidate).

Closing date for applications: 29 th November at 8am
Interviews will be held on: 4 th December (at the Partnership’s offices)
